Perils of Registering Youth Who Commit Sex Offenses: Research Update

Registries and notification laws for people who commit sex offenses offer no clear public safety benefits. So we should not subject youth to their crippling consequences. Registration is especially inappropriate for youth, who are highly unlikely to become repeat sex offenders.
