Jun 21–24, 2012 | CJJ 2012 Annual Conference, (Map) | CALENDAR

“Improving Justice Outcomes for Youth and Families: Uniting Science, Policy and Practice”

2012 CJJ Annual Conference
June 21-24, 2012
Hyatt Regency, Bethesda, MD (right outside of Washington, D.C.)

This working conference will focus on innovations and improvements that prevent and reduce court contact and involvement for children, youth and families.

In recent years, the science of brain and adolescent development, coupled with increasing emphasis on empirically supported policies and practices, has changed the course of juvenile justice. Many jurisdictions and practitioners emphasize strength-based approaches. These are centered on meeting the multiple, complex needs of youth and their families, while also preventing out-of-home placements, court involvement, detention and incarceration. The results are profoundly positive for both youth and community safety.

Registration opens middle-late March, 2012. Please check out CJJ's website for more information: www.juvjustice.org

CJJ Conference registration fees fully comply with all Office of Justice Programs (OJP) policies and guidelines regarding the use of SAG and federal funds. Registration fees will not be used for the purchase or support of conference food and beverage provisions.
