National Juvenile Justice Network to present Jefferson Parish's Children and Youth Planning Board with Award for Leadership in Juvenile Justice Reform

The National Juvenile Justice Network will present the Jefferson Parish Children and Youth Planning Board with its Award for Leadership in Juvenile Justice Reform. This is the inaugural year for the award, which is given to individuals and organizations that have engaged in exceptional advocacy and/or serve as visionary leaders for juvenile justice reform in their region.
The award will be accepted by Roy L. Juncker Jr., Director of the Jefferson Parish Department of Juvenile Services, which is a grant site under Louisiana Models for Change, on July 14, 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The National Juvenile Justice Network enhances the capacity of state-based, juvenile justice coalitions to advocate for fair, equitable and developmentally appropriate adjudication and treatment for all children, youth and families involved in the juvenile justice system.
