Neighborhood board diverts minors from court system

Area residents on Monday got an early look at a plan to renovate juvenile justice in Rapides Parish. Rapides Parish Assistant District Attorney Daphne Robinson and Deputy Juvenile Officer Tamara Taylor of St. Louis led discussions at two sessions regarding the creation of a board of citizens who would handle the punishment of some minor juvenile offenders in South Alexandria.
