Louisiana's High Incarceration and Dropout Rates Concern Youth Advocates

Louisiana has the No. 1 spot in the number of adults incarcerated, 20 percent more young people incarcerated than the national average and a higher dropout rate than the national average.
With that in mind, a group of Central Louisiana educators and officials representing the juvenile justice system met Thursday to talk about how to change that.
