The National Juvenile Justice Network (NJJN) enhances the ability of state-based juvenile justice organizations to advocate for fair, equitable and developmentally appropriate adjudication and treatment for all youth and families involved in the juvenile justice system. By collaborating with state, local and national advocates for children and by creating a Network that is itself effective and respected, NJJN works to ensure that every state’s juvenile justice system develops model laws, policies and programs.

NJJN helps its members advance juvenile justice reform by establishing a vibrant learning community. An active listserv, annual summit, working groups and regional meetings provide vehicles for members to share strategies, research, testimony and information about the latest developments in their states. NJJN connects its members to substantive leaders in the field — researchers, policy experts, reform-oriented administrators — so that members are apprised of and can inform their work with the latest knowledge and best practices in the field. Finally, NJJN brings in national experts in media, organizing and advocacy to help states improve their legislative, programmatic, and administrative reform efforts.

NJJN hosts a comprehensive Web site at www.njjn.org, that includes information about NJJN members, advances in the field, and juvenile justice resources. The National Juvenile Justice Network’s national home and fiscal sponsor is the Coalition for Juvenile Justice.
